The festive spirit was truly alive at Holdenhurst this Christmas as tenants came together to celebrate the season of joy. The calendar was jam-packed with an array of festive activities that offered everyone the chance to join in the merriment. From sing-a-longs to Christmas Jumper Day, a market, bake-off, bingo and of course a party, the festive season proved to be a time of fun, laughter and togetherness.
Read our round-up of some of the events. We have so many pictures we couldn’t fit them all in! 📸
Christmas Decorating Day
Early in December, we kicked off the calendar with a Christmas decorating day. Lots of tenants came to lend a hand and decorate our dining room and entrance hall. They did a fabulous job and we kept everyone going with some mulled wine. Plus, cheeky Brussels the House Elf made a come back too!
Practicing Our Singing
First, the Parish Pealers came in to sing some wonderful carols and get us all in the festive spirit. Later in the week, we enjoyed an evening of entertainment with the Seaside Singers, all arranged by our tenants.
Christmas Jumper Day & Market
We had great fun at our Christmas Jumper Day and Market. Prizes went to Beryl and Dave for the best-dressed couple, Jan for the sparkliest jumper, Gill for our favourite jumper. Finally, Ashleigh won the staff award for best-dressed member of staff and for cooking in a thick jumper (phew!). Also, for bringing in enough jumpers so all staff thought they were getting away with not wearing a jumper (Sharon and Linda) had something to wear – haha!
Take a look at our next blog to read about our fantastic Christmas party (the bar is set high for next year!), plus bingo and bake-off.
